under the sea
UNDER THE SEA is a diptychon of abstract paintings symbolizing the ocean's struggle with pollution and its enforced adaption to human misbehavior. Both acrylic paintings feature real plastic compentent achieving a physical embodiment of foreigness and integration at the same time. For the digital work and prints these works have been merged with proprietary photography of fish with chopped-off heads (taken on travels in SEA) to underline the particular controversy of ongoing environemtal pollution and its consequences.
